got a very nice rejection on WGACK from that small press.

hit 31K on "Blaze of Glory".

in a seminar right now in SL on Norman’s "Gor". Never heard of it and figured it looked interesting.

    • actually, it was… now, I don’t think I’d be comfortable reading the books or going into the SL sims, but I have to defend the author’s right to have it produced and not banned, as I have been told, from bookstores and libraries by over-zealous women who disagreed with his created world.
doesn’t appeal to me at all, but obviously it does to enough people that it not only generated lots of SL sims but also new books coming out, from my Googling. Sure, it’s not MY cuppa tea but I can’t really support censorship. Heck, I can think of a lot of “literature” that I’d love to have hacked out BEFORE I get to the Gors, eh?
what IS up with that icon?
      🙂

      • Oh yes, they aren’t exactly friendly books but there’s far worse out there. I guess I’m a little surprised that you’ve never heard of them, but then I don’t even know if you read sci-fi/fantasy.
The icon is a quote from Lois McMaster Bujold’s Memory, which is marvelous (speaking of sci-fi) but is not the book to start with in that series.
        ETA–condolences on the rejection…

      • thanks… still smarting over that one.
oh, I’d heard of the series but never the controversy per say – just more along the lines of caveman-like behavior and so what, says I, each to their own.
SL is full of interesting stuff.
